ARTIST/CHUNCHEON PUPPET FESTIVAL
A meeting of twin festivals born in Chuncheon in 1989.
Chuncheon International Mime Festival and Chuncheon Puppet Festival come together.
Puppets are our friends and companions who realize our fantasies, understand our emotions, and empathize with us. Sometimes, we project ourselves onto puppets and find comfort in them. Meet the puppets permeating throughout the festival grounds.

The Troupe ‘Maroohan' meaning ’tall and big‘, began as a joyful and entertaining performance based on our traditional culture, as actors' talents in percussion and eloquence shone brighter when realizing old creative works. It has become the color of the theater troupe Maruhan. Alongside various performances such as puppetry, courtyard plays, and mime, we diligently continue our work to bring laughter to children and happiness to adults.
Culture Art Bakery FFWANG
'Culture Art Bakery FFWANG' is an arts group where artists from various genres come together through collaboration to meet audiences with high-quality performances, regardless of genre distinctions. Through continuous interaction with local artists and citizens, we explore themes and subjects closely related to human life and express art.

Fascinating conversations created through various stories with puppets. 'Byeolbyeolsuda' brings out endangered animals one by one in the barren cityscape, questioning the ecology and coexistence of animals losing their way, using puppets to communicate and tell stories.
Jamilong
'Jamilong,' meaning ‘to make fun things last long’, pursues the joy of participation rather than the sophistication of art. Through community arts based on citizen participation parades, creative playgrounds, and art education, we communicate with diverse people.

'PULEUNHAE’ strives to meet audiences with creative performances that express new imagination through artistic exchanges with various media such as mime, magic, puppetry, and media art, all based on mime.
